About me

I was born in a small farming town in Washington State, US.  Only 4000 people occupied the entire town and at 18 I was happy to move away to Los Angeles where I went to university at UCLA. 

Currently, I am 28 years old and graduate student at a university in New York.  Although I am enrolled at a university in New York, I live and work in Mexico City where I am learning about the wonderful culture of Mexico and learning Spanish.  I have a master’s degree in sociology and am currently working on my PhD. 

I have taught English all over the world: beginning in the United States I taught immigrants in Los Angeles and New York, then moved to China where I taught for 2 years, and now Mexico.  I have taught business English at various companies: French car manufacturers, accounting firms, and stock brokerage firms. 

My specialties are in business English, but I have a lot of experience in tutoring for the TOEFL and GRE exams as well.

Yo nací en estado de Washinton, pero vivia en Nueve York.  Tengo 5 años de experiencia como profesora de inglés. Di clases en China durante 2 años y otros tres en Nueva York y Los Angeles. He ayudado estudiantes a aprobar examénes como el TOEFL y el GRE.  Además, puedo proporcionar un gran apoyo a los estudiantes de niveles intermedio y avanzado que necesitan practicar su inglés con un hablante (“speaker”) nativo.
